Anche quest’anno ho partecipato al concorso internazionale di fotografia “Hystrio – Occhi di Scena” ed anche quest’anno non ho vinto.

In ogni caso, anche se il mio progetto è stato premiato con l’ammissione alle finali del concorso e con una mostra, devo dire che la soddisfazione più grande per me è stata quella di vedere i miei sforzi apprezzati al di fuori della mia città.

E’ buffo che questo accada in un periodo di totale silenzio nei confronti del mio lavoro da parte delle istituzioni e degli enti per cui ho lavorato duramente spesso facendo grandi sacrifici.

Nella foto a destra, invece, la meritata vincitrice del premio Hystrio – Laura Arlotti mentre osserva le mie foto alla mostra di Milano durante la premiazione, lo scorso 19 Giugno.

Ho -in via del tutto eccezionale- pubblicato le foto nella sezione Works, assieme al testo del progetto che ho presentato per partecipare al concorso.

After a month of show at Cà Zanardi, the two photos “L’inutil Precauzione” moves to palace Barbarigo Minotto, where they was born.

There, they will be exposed until further notice, in the glassboard in the entrance.
Of course the palace is open to the public only during the evening, to see the shows in the program.

I remember that the prints are for sale:
they are two unique pieces realized on fine-art canvas, 40 x 26 cm and 26 x 40 cm.

It’s the last days to look my pictures at the collective show of contemporary art “Venezia Misteriosa”, organized by ArteForte a Cà Zanardi.

The prints, on fine-art canvas, 40,00 cm x 26,66 cm e 26,66 cm x 40,00 cm paints two of the last moments of the opera “Barbiere di Siviglia”, putted up at palace Barbarigo Minotto by Musica a Palazzo.

Tomorrow (Friday 27th November) at palace,  “If walls could talk” site-specific happening by Anja Rudak.
The show will close in the evening of the 29th of November.

In the beside pictures, two of the five performances done during the vernissage of the show, the last 7th of November.

You probably know that I closed this website in September due to a swarm of festivals that made me so busy.

Now, after two months of work, I’m glad to re-open it:

• with a new graphic design
• with a more complete structure, even if some sections are going to open in the next weeks
• with a principle of portfolio (by now only of dance) that will grow in the next days
• with a “contents schedule” that -even if already inserted- will publish them automatically with a weekly frequency

It’s being setted up a FaceBook group that will be used to keep you informed about updates, that I will try to concentrate on Thursday-Friday of every week, when possible.

The show “Breve racconto dei musicisti, danzatori ed acrobati che vanno a teatro con il cavallo“ moves from the theatre Franco Parenti in Milan to San Miniato (near Florence), where it will stay until December, with the artworks of the other finalists of the contest.

During the opening the 31 October, the finalists and the winner was rewarded.

In the picture beside, the winner of the Hystrio prize of this year, Jonah Samin caught looking at our pictures.

I remember that this project was realized with Fabio Bortot, and that the prints, of good made, are for sale.
They are all realized on alurex (aluminium) and have sizes that goes from 70 cm x 46 cm to 50 cm x 33 cm.

Non ho parole per esprimere cosa ho provato …
… quando ho saputo che sen’era andata una delle più grandi coreografe di danza contemporanea di sempre.

Ho sentito tanto parlare di lei, da chi l’aveva conosciuta e la porta tutt’ora nel cuore.

L’unica cosa che ho di lei è questa foto che ho scattato all’Assolo da Nefes, una sua coreografia splendidamente interpretata da Ekaterine Giorgadze il 28 giugno al Teatro Piccolo Arsenale, Venezia.

Due minuti e ventidue secondi, questo è il tempo che le è bastato a farmi innamorare in questo pezzo, che trasmette in modo irresistibile una grande gioia di vivere.

Addio Philippine.

After a year of work I received a first award.

This project, that was realized with Fabio Bortot, and is called “Breve racconto dei musicisti, danzatori ed acrobati che vanno a teatro con il cavallo“, was selected as finalist in the  prestigious award of stage phography “Hystrio – Occhi di Scena”, of the omonim magazine, first in Italy in the theatre sector.

Our show was kept from 16 to 20 June in Milan in the Franco Parenti theatre.

The next appointment with this prints is in San Miniato from October to November.

Dopo 6 mesi di lavoro senza sosta ho sfruttato un momento di pausa per finire e pubblicare questo sito web.
